We sat down with Joselime Perdomo, ULO Systems’ European Business Development Manager, to find out more about her. What is your professional background? I am a Chemical Engineer with a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Production Engineering. I have more than 17 years’ experience in both upstream and downstream offshore sectors. What is your role at ULO Systems? In my role of Business Development Manager, I work on strategies to improve ULO Systems’ market position and achieve growth. I am constantly engaged in building relationships with key customers, identifying business opportunities and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions to increase sales opportunities, thereby maximising revenue for ULO Systems. An aspect of my role that I find the most rewarding is working side by side with our existing clients, ensuring they stay satisfied and receive excellent customer service. For me, the satisfaction of our clients on the projects we collaborate on leads to our success as business partners. I make sure we are working together towards the same goal.
What is your main focus in the coming twelve months?
I will be dedicating my time to strengthening ULO’s market position along with managing relationships with new and existing clients. My main goal is to support our clients in achieving the successful execution of their projects, demonstrating our presence and commitment to sharing our expertise and delivering quality service.
What is a challenge that offshore operators and owners face that ULO Systems provides a solution for?
Offshore operations are under intense pressure to improve operational efficiencies. It is crucial that they manage and oversee activities in the construction and installation of projects in the most effective manner in order to reduce costs as well as enhance and guarantee efficient operations in every stream of offshore projects. Working with ULO Systems provides plenty
of room for efficiency as we support productivity through our fleet of proprietary equipment, which drives efficiency through exhaustive contingency planning. We work tirelessly to ensure operations are uninterrupted. Utilising our new generation equipment, we are able to meet budgets and scheduled targets 25 per cent faster than our competitors – these benefits are passed onto our valued partners. By combining high-technology equipment, tailored
engineering, knowledge and organisational commitment, ULO unlocks significant value for our clients and we work together to ensure the success of projects.
What are the values that drive you?
While it is all well and good to have a list of values written out on a piece of paper, real change requires living by those values. The values that drive me and help me achieve my goals are being determined, engaged and honest with myself and others.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Life is short and before you know it, you’re old. As well as enjoying the tranquility of being at home, I also use my free time to create memories, have experiences and be there for others. One of my true passions is helping those around me as I find it so rewarding. When I’m supporting others, I’m not thinking about business development or work – in fact, when I am helping others, this is probably the only time I switch my brain off from work!
